Half-Moon House  Olaulim, Goa

This house was a deep collaboration with both the clients and the site. Responding to an equally detailed brief, every detail of the home was carefully considered. Through models, detailed drawings, and on-site work, this project is a hands-on exploration of design and construction.
The project explores  the potential of pine wood as a structural timber through innovative techniques such as glu-lamination, finger joining and nail-less construction.  The natural wood complements with Indian patent Stone, a cast in place handmade material, to craft an inviting, warm environment that merges with the fabric of the village.
This work is designed and executed as the project architect as part of Ini Chatterji and Associates.
